We have been a supporter of Eagle Seed Co. forage soybeans since our founders introduction to the company through research in the 1990’s while he was attending Mississippi State University. Not long after Jason began working with clients across the country, he began planting Eagle soybeans and he quicklly realized the massive benefits of planting they brought to the table. Jason works with Eagle Seed Co. on several blends that he offers and we enjoy a solid, long-term relationship with this solid, quality first grower.

Big Buck 6 is the premium non-GMO forage soybean offered by Eagle Seeds. It is easy to establish, has large, high protein leaves, is very tall, and has excellent forage yield. It can be grown naturally without the use of herbicides. In fact, we commonly plant Big Buck 6 soybeans after crimp terminating cereal rye and the stand produces impressive weed-free plots without the application of herbicides.

This variety contains no genes for glyphosate or Roundup tolerance. While Roundup
and other glyphosate products cannot be used on Big Buck 6, it is possible to use grass
and broadleaf herbicides labeled for soybeans.

Big Buck is conventionally bred and capable of reaching heights over six feet. Among
the available Non-GMO forage varieties, this variety has higher tonnage as shown in
several state university tests.

These Non GMO forage beans were planted directly alongside conventional Ag beans and were noticeable preferred and browsed harder not only throughout the summer months but through the fall hunting season.
