Developed as an in-field green manure fertility plan and a multi-species cocktail blend that naturally cycles nutrients for a planned corn crop. If you've been using Spring Reload, this blend offers a rotation but focuses on spring soil building; the two can be considered siblings. This blend is perfect if you plan to use a roller crimper or a similar method to terminate. This blend was originally used as a spring planted ahead of corn blend.  Although this technique works, it takes great timing and a little help from Mother Nature.  Some of our clients have documented growing 150+ bushel corn without adding any nitrogen fertilizer at the time of planting. This would also be a great spring planted blend ahead of Summer Squatch or Vanish.

This soil builder blend allows you to lay massive amounts of biomass over your soil, creating a thick residue mat that serves as a weed suppressor, moisture conservation barrier, soil temperature stabilizer, and supplies in-field, organic fertilizer credits.

Multispecies cocktails also feed the soil biology to allow the system to synergistically work as it once did prior to our addiction to synthetic fertilizers.

Spring Soil Builder is a constantly evolving blend as we design and test the best plants for this particular application. You will find approximately 10-13 different species/varieties in this blend representing all major plant types: legumes, grasses, forbs and brassicas. Each plant group offers its own unique attributes to the species complimentarities provided in this blend.
